If you are flying to the Lean Horse Ultra…

Fly into the Rapid City SD Regional Airport. (RAP)

Get a rental car; we suggest you rent your car from Casey’s Car rental; call 866-748-2277 and ask for Dennis, mentioning the Lean Horse Ultra. Casey’s is an off-site (in Rapid City) business, which means when you land you will need to call from the airport and they’ll be there in about 20 minutes… advantage being you save the “airport tax” that Hertz and Avis and all the others have to charge. Here are driving directions and a map. If you want anything from a running store or a Wal-Mart, make those stops while in Rapid City. Once you arrive in Hot Springs, your shopping options are limited.

The drive down to Hot Springs is quite scenic. Depending on your plans and time available, you may want to make you trip to MT. Rushmore on your way down to Hot Springs if that be the case, here are some alternate driving instructions: then from there, take this route to get to Hot Springs.
